About NDTG Scotland

The National Demolition Training Group (Scotland) is Scotland’s first independently operated industry training group.

The Group was formed in 2001 by individuals such as Jim Caldwell Snr, from the JCJ Group. He saw the need to raise the profile of the demolition industry and also its standards.

Craig MacWilliam (MacWilliam Demolition) Chairman and Jackie Whyte (Border Demolition) Treasurer, are doing an excellent job and with a board of other influential members of the Demolition industry, including representatives from St Andrew’s Demolition, Forth Demolition, E. Nicholson & Son, Clyde Demolition, JCJ Demolition and NDTG Forum National Representatives, the group has expanded to over 50 companies in Scotland.

The Group is working hard to improve the standard of workers in the demolition industry which is a benefit not only to the employers but to other contractors looking to hire a demolition company.

Right now, training is more important than ever and NDTG (Scotland) hope to continue to provide excellent training and knowledge to the demolition industry and train employees up to the highest standard.

NDTG (Scotland) in conjunction with Circa Consultants, has submitted and has had accepted the first Asbestos NVQ Portfolio

They are also working closely with Construction Skills in developing the Modern Apprenticeship Programme (MAP) which is hoping to go live in January 2010.
