How to Renew Your Card
All permanent cards that can be renewed are done so on a 5 yearly basis by passing the industry approved Demolition or ConstructionSkills Operative Health and Safety Tests. The test must be passed during the 2-year period leading up to the expiry date of the card. Tests are booked by contacting Thompson Prometric at the same number as in the application section of this booklet 0870 600 40 20. The must also have proof of attending a current Demolition Operative Safety Awareness/Asbestos Awareness Course
The only exception to the above is the renewal route for holders of a Demolition Supervisors card which requires the cardholder to reach the required standard on a 1 day Demolition Supervisors Renewal Course during a 2 year period prior to the renewal date. The Demolition Health and Safety Touch Screen Test as noted above must also be taken as no other test has Demolition content.
CPCS cards are renewed using either the Demolition or ConstructionSkills Operative Health and Safety Test plus a minimum of 300 hours recorded in the CPCS plant Operators Logbook for each item of plant on the CPCS card.
Red Trained Operator cards are normally not renewed as they require the achievement of an NVQ for the item of plant for which the card is held before the expiry date.
In all instances please use application form CCDO/2
