Demolition Operative
The Certificate of Competence for Demolition Operatives (CCDO Card Scheme) assesses candidates through one or all of the following methods:
- Industry Assessment
- National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)
- Distance Learning
CCDO is a peer assessed competency scheme designed to recognise the individual’s skill’s gained through a practical route of experience, training and knowledge. The scheme is affiliated to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and gains the successful candidate a CCDO Affiliate competence card at the relevant level.

Card Categories
Demolition Site Operative
| Years Experience: | Less than 1 year |
| Aimed at: | New Entrants Only |
| Valid For: | 2 years (NOT RENEWABLE) |
Reclamation and Salvage Operative
| Years Experience: | Minimum 1 year |
| Aimed at: | those who work predominantly in the removal of salvageable materials such as Architectural salvage or soft stripping operatives. |
| Valid For: | 5 Years |
Demolition Operative (Labourer)
| Years Experience: | Minimum 1 year |
| Aimed at: | Operatives with a basic understanding of the Demolition Industry |
| Valid For: | 5 Years |
Demolition Experienced Worker
| Years Experience: | Minimum 2 Years |
| Aimed at: | Operatives with a good depth of knowledge of the demolition industry. |
| Valid For: | 3 Years (Temporary Card Only) |
Demolition Operative (Mattockman)
| Years Experience: | 2 Years (NVQ- QCF Achieved) |
| Aimed at: | Operatives with a adequate depth of knowledge of the demolition industry |
| Valid For: | 5 Years |
Demolition Operative (Topman)
| Years Experience: | Minimum 2 Years (NVQ (QCF) Achieved) |
| Aimed at: | Operatives with a good depth of knowledge of the demolition industry |
| Valid For: | 5 Years |
Demolition Supervisor
| Years Experience: | Minimum 5 Years |
| Aimed at: | Key personnel with the knowledge & skills to supervise a demolition project |
| Valid For: | 5 Years |
NEW Demolition Manager
| Years Experience: | Minimum 5 Years |
| Aimed at: | Key personnel who are actively involved in the site management & contracts management of a Demolition project |
| Valid For: | Experienced Worker (Manager) Card- 3 Years (temporary card only) Manager Card- 5 Years (issued after NVQ Achievement) |
