Aimed at	This course has been designed to fall in line with changes to legislation in the form of Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, and the New CCDO CSCS affiliation agreement. It is for all Demolition operatives and will be part of the CCDO renewal process.
Objectives	To enable Demolition operatives to be kept updated on changes to legislation and health and safety practices in line with CCDO Scheme and health and safety requirements. It will also enable operatives to meet the training requirements of HSE legislation ACOP L143 Regulation 10 where regular training is required for those persons who are liable to disturb asbestos while carrying out their everyday work.
Subjects Covered	All issues in the Half-day Asbestos awareness course, including current information on recent topics with Asbestos Containing Materials It will also cover amendments to Health and Safety at work practices as dictated by legislative changes which may affect the Demolition sector and associated industries Individuals responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act Specific demolition hazards How demolition hazards are controlled How everyone on site can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site Updates on new Safe Working Practices Understanding Method Statements and Risk Assessments
