Course Duration	Three days
Aimed at	This course instructs newly appointed asbestos removal operatives, who have had no formal training, in all aspects of the safe removal of asbestos containing materials (ACM), as required under the HSE Draft 2 for licensed work with asbestos insulation, asbestos coatings, and asbestos insulating board January 2004. This is both hands on practical (1 Day) and classroom based.
Objectives	To enable the safe and effective removal of ACM’s Ensure the safety of the operatives and others during the removal process
Subjects Covered	Asbestos Types, use’s and risks of ACM’s and Health Hazards Legislation Site Setup and Dismantling Use of Controlled Stripping Techniques Use and maintenance of PPE and RPE Decontamination and Transit Procedures Construction of Enclosures and Air Locks Site Clearance, Air Testing and Waste Management, Legislation Emergency Procedures and Non-Asbestos Hazards Plant and Equipment, Fault Finding, Decontamination Procedures Roles and Responsibilities Site Inspections and record keeping Risk Assessments and Plans of Work
