CPCS Plant Card Conversion
SPECIAL NOTICE
CONVERSION OF CPCS GROUNDWORKS (A59)
TO DEMOLITON PLANT (A65) CARDS
NDTG is pleased to announce an agreement has been reached with CPCS for conversion of the existing 360 degree excavator above 10 tonne (category A59) card to Demolition Plant competence card (category) for any of the following endorsements:
D. High Reach
C. Hydraulic Rotation
B. Non-Hydraulic
A. Materials processing
The criteria requires:
1. employer declaration of work-based competence on demolishing and sorting activities using excavator-adapted demolition machines
2.confirmation of ability measured against elements of skills required of a demolition plant operator
3.achievement on the Skills Supporting Knowledge Assessment
Applicants must:
1. hold the category of A59 A or B on a valid CPCS card,
2. have accumulated at least 300 operating hours using demolition-based excavators (above 10 tonnes)
3.have passed the appropriate health and safety test.
4.have completed and achieved ICT module A65.
Guidance Notes for Completion:
The candidate must complete sections A-C of the application form.
The employer must complete section D of Part 1.
The assessor will complete the Skills and Experience Assessment with the Operative which will be based on experience and will be recorded as a professional discussion.
A witness testimony, to be completed by a responsible person within the employer organisation e.g. line manager, supervisor etc, confirms the candidates ability against each of the statements listed.
All work undertaken with demolition plant must be detailed in the CPCS Operator Logbook with an accumulated time of at least three hundred hours.
All documentation must be held following CPCS Policies and Standards requirements.
CPCS reserves the right to refuse or suspend the category if requirements for this upgrade process are not met.
Conversion Fees:
£230.63 per operative (inc. card fee & VAT).
