How Do I Achieve My NVQ

An NVQ is achieved by a process called On Site Assessment and Training (OSAT).

The candidate will not have to attend college or be away from the workplace for great periods of time as the process is carried out on site

The NVQ is assessed through various methods to gather the relevant evidence:

  • observation reports
  • approved prior learning
  • professional discussion
  • witness testimony
  • photographic evidence
  • video evidence
  • audio evidence
  • job knowledge questions

The NVQ is not a test. You cannot fail.

The NVQ Assessor will support the candidate throughout the entire process which on average requires 3 site visits. The Employer is encouraged to support the assessor with the gathering of evidence in order to achieve the NVQ in as minimal time possible.

On completion of the NVQ, a Certificate of Unit Credit will be issued.
