Why Join the NDTG?
The NDTG was formed in November 1978 as a result of negotiations between [the then Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)] ConstructionSkills and the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC).
The overall objective of the group is to introduce and develop the concept and practice of trade specific training for the Demolition Industry. This is done via the NDTG Office and a Management Committee which has Representatives from all NFDC regions to enable the promotion and development of courses which are needed to enable safe and efficient working practices during demolition works.
A number of positive improvements that benefit the Industry have taken place which we have endeavoured to keep all Demolition Contractors appraised of, and becoming a Member you can ensure that your company will hear of any new developments as and when they happen.
The courses offered by NDTG are the minimum training requirements for the CCDO/CSCS Card Scheme. The Asbestos & Demolition Operative Safety Awareness course is a compulsory requirement of the scheme, which is seen as a minimum requirement of the majority of large contractors and MCG companies. Other courses encourage safe working practices in demolition operations.
